Quinn just peed on the potty!!!!!

Oh my gosh! She just stood up at the lunch table and wouldn't sit back down. I asked if she needed a new diaper and she said yes. Then I asked if I could check her diaper and it was just a little wet but not poopy at all (she is in a disposable today). So on a whim I asked her if she wanted to go use the potty, she nodded yes. So we went in there. I brought a book. Took her pants and dipe off and she sat down (the potty has been a fixutre in our bathroom for a loooooong time. She mostly plays w/ it but a couple times recently she has sat on it fully clothed while I was in there). I read like two pages and she was wiggling around, adjusting her position a little and then all of a sudden she stood up and her face was just beaming!! SHE WAS SO PROUD! There was pee in there!!!!! I can NOT believe it! I was NOT expecting this!!!!!!!!!! I did a huge happy dance and signed that I was really excited! She won't be 2 until April! The boys were all MUCH older so this is really unexpected for me. Yeah!!!!!!!!

Quinn the super signer

Quinn doesn't talk a whole lot, but man, can she sign! We have been signing with her since birth, but she didn't really start to pick it up and use it until we bought her some signing dvd's. She loves them! Last night she put 4 signs together in a sign sentance for the first time!
"Daddy" "more" "candy" "please" !!!!!!! She is also learning the spoken words to go along with the signs but having the signs has helped her communicate what she needs to and the only time she gets really frustrated is when she wants something and we have told her no. She even jokes in sign! She somtimes will sign that she's sad or crying when she's really happy and then laugh and laugh!

Connor just turned 7. We celebrated by taking donuts and juice to his class and having his friend Joshua over for a sleep over. What fun! Here are some pictures of our family party.

We took the boys to see Narnia yesterday. What a fantastic movie! I almost NEVER buy movies but I will be buying this one as soon as it comes out. You should all run out to see it on the big screen. It's sooooo good.
